You'll also need to change the wp-admin URL you are logged in to. In my case, I am using the one on so I will change the word in the URL to whitewhale.xyz/wp-admin. Note that the real URL that you would use to login to WordPress is probably different. I am logging into my site with the username of admin and the password of xyzzy.
After you have changed your URL, go to your browser and login to wordpress.com. If it asks you to activate the plugin, click activate. If it asks you to update the plugin, click update.

Next, we need to go into your WordPress admin panel, click plugins, click add new, and search for Post Type Plus. When you find it, click install. Make sure the box is checked that says activate when its installed and click activate.
If you are logged into the admin panel, then you need to log out and then log back in. If you are not logged in, you can go to your wordpress.com and use your account info to log in.
Click the activate button, and let it install. After it is finished, it will look like this:
Now go to your admin panel and click on plugins and go to Post Type Plus.
